A gorge boat through Ōboke's ravine, a thatched farmhouse lunch, an outdoor bath over the river.

Matsuyama

West to the castle town and a night at Dōgo, Japan's oldest onsen, yukata and all.

Day 6

Dōgo, slowly

Morning soak, the castle by chairlift, and tai-meshi sea bream for the last dinner.

Depart

Fly out of Matsuyama, or ferry on toward Hiroshima.
