Japan's wild, open north.

Big skies, volcanic ranges and the finest powder snow on earth. Hokkaidō is Japan at its most elemental: drift ice and national parks in the far east, lavender and patchwork farmland in summer, and a food culture built on cold-water seafood and dairy.
