Bamboo grove at first light, a river boat, then a rest afternoon: garden, spa, or nothing.

Day 4

Nara

The Great Buddha, sacred deer, and mochi pounded before your eyes. Back for dinner.

Mt Kōya

Up the sacred mountain to a temple lodging: vegetarian shōjin dinner, night cemetery walk.

Day 6

Morning prayers

Fire ritual at dawn with the monks, then down to Kyoto's craft ateliers by afternoon.

Depart

A last garden, then a private transfer to Kansai or Itami with everything handled.
